[ad. mod. L. Pellibranchiāta neut. pl., f. L. pell-is skin + branchiæ gills: see -ate2.]
Belonging to the Pellibranchiata, or nudibranchiate gastropods (of J. E. Gray), which have no distinct gills but breathe by means of the skin. b. as n. A mollusc of this group.
